We didn’t start True Water because water treatment seemed like a good business. We started it because we actually looked into what’s in the water our families drink every day.

The Story Behind True Water

We grew up drinking Utah County water without thinking twice about it. Then we started paying attention. The white scale on the shower walls. The spotty dishes. Water heaters failing at 6 years. We looked up our own zip codes on the Environmental Working Group’s water database and found roughly 20 detectable chemicals in the local supply, including arsenic levels and emerging PFAS contaminants that most people have never heard of.

That sent us down a rabbit hole. We learned how water softeners actually work. We learned what NSF/ANSI 58 certification means and why it’s the only independent verification of PFAS removal. We learned that most families across Utah County are either being sold overpriced lease contracts by big franchises, or buying DIY systems online with no real idea what their water actually needs.

We thought there had to be a better way. So we got licensed, got trained, and built the company we wished existed. A local operator who tests your water first, recommends exactly what it needs, installs it properly, and maintains it so you never have to think about it again — the communities we cover, start to finish.
